Downtown Dental is an excellent place to go. I highly recommend it. My dental hygienist, Mo, is the best ever. She is gentle and patient and can't imagine going anywhere else. You will not be disappointed!

Dr. Maria, is a loving, caring, doctor, who takes her time with you to make sure you're okay and not in any pain or discomfort whatsoever before performing her procedures. The practice has efficient, organized processes, and the staff respects your time by making appointments that don't keep you waiting. A welcoming first impression will be received when entering their office. The Staff members are helpful and friendly during your first phone call or email. They answer your questions and clearly explain the check-in process. Transparency with costs: The office provides clear and transparent information on pricing and explains how your insurance coverage works. When I arrived, the dental office made me feel welcomed, professional, and put my comfort first. They have a clean, calming environment: The waiting area is tidy and inviting, with comfortable seating and amenities like a TV or calming music. The sterile clinic also signifies a commitment to patient safety. Friendly and professional staff: From the receptionist to Gloria R., the hygienist, the team greets you warmly. Staff members have a good rapport with each other, which contributes to a positive, efficient peaceful atmosphere. Personalized care: The team gets to know you beyond your dental history, which allows for a better-tailored treatment and helps you feel more at ease. During my exam Dr. Maria, her examination process was thorough and focused on my overall oral health, not just treating immediate problems. Dr. Maria Al, listened carefully to my concerns, goals, and fears, and never once rushed through my appointment. Gloria R., performed a thorough examination, which may include modern technology like digital X-rays that provide clearer images with less radiation to you. Patient education: Dr. Maria Al Chammas, clearly explained any issues found, showed me visual aids like intraoral images, and educated me on my oral health. I have been a patient of Downtown Dental for over a year, only needing check-ups and cleanings until recently when I broke an old crown. Though it was not an emergency, the scheduling staff found a timeslot for me the next day. The staff who worked on me were competent and proficient in removing the broken crown, preparing the tooth, and setting the temporary crown. When the first anesthetic was not enough, I was given a second which numbed the whole side of my face, but that it what I needed. The doctor (Maria Al Chammas, I believe) was sensitive to pause whenever I did feel pain. I was impressed by the technology they used to scan inside my mouth and create a three-dimensional image of the affected area. They also used dental putty to make a mold. The temporary crown fits very well. I'll be returning for the permanent in a couple weeks.

From the moment you walk in, the entire team makes you feel comfortable and well taken care of. The office is modern, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere that eases any dental nerves. My dental hygienist was thorough, gentle, and incredibly knowledgeable. She takes the time to explain everything and makes the whole experience pleasant. I have been going to Downtown Dental Jax for over 20 years. I love the professionalism of the staff, the state of the art facilities and the hard work and dedication of all the employees. Everyone makes the visit a true pleasure. From checking in to billing and validating the parking ticket, it’s all seemless and efficient. Star is the best! She is very personable, professional, pleasant and positive. I always look forward to my visits, my teeth always look and feel great afterwards! Thank you, I love Downtown Dental.

I really enjoyed my visit. Staff and Doctors answered all my questions with patiences. I’m very nervous and anxious when going to Dentist. But they calm my anxiety and gave me time to relax. There is no long wait, it takes about 10 minutes to go to back. My dentist Dr. Portalatin and team was amazing. Very upfront about treatment plan and cost. This office staff is as professional as they come. They always get you in if an issue needs immediate attention. Lots of hygienics available. Dr. Eric and Dr. Witten are some of the best doctors and people I have ever met. You won't be disappointed.

Everything has been great so far. Dr Portalatin and Jasmine put you at ease.
